Effective
Emotional CommunicationSM
How you say it
is as important as what you say
EEC TrainingSM
for psychotherapists, attorneys, and mediators
who wish to increase their communication skills
facilitated by:
Sietze
Vanderheide
Great communicators
know two things, to be effective you need to be heard
and you need to be understood.
EEC
training will help you develop verbal skills that are persuasive, dynamic, and
wide ranging. Effective
communication requires the capacity to shift between various verbal styles to
accommodate diverse situations and individuals.
EEC
training will teach you the critical skill of detecting which verbal style is
effective at any given time. To
utilize the appropriate communication strategy requires the ability to rapidly
assess emotional shifts in an on-going interpersonal exchange.
EEC
training will result in increased awareness of your own emotional communication
styles. Strategic use of emotional
communication styles requires self-awareness of one’s own interpersonal
emotional communication patterns.
The
techniques of EEC are grounded in an understanding of emotions, conscious and
subconscious communication, and psycho-diagnostics. These three fundamental areas are integrated with
psychotherapeutic and negotiation strategies. The specific theoretical underpinnings of the EEC workshop
are:
1)
Affect Theory
2)
Ericksonian Hypnotherapy
3)
Psycho-diagnostics
The next Effective Emotional
Communication training will begin June 3, 2010.
The course is 10 weeks long
and will meet Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 in Beverly Hills or West Los
Angles; cost $575.
